Our story

How it all started

Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges that my single mother faced in trying to provide for us. We struggled to make ends meet, and it was difficult to access even the most basic needs, like food, clothing, and education. Luckily enough I was admitted on the government sponsorship program for science students for my university studies. My
mother worked tirelessly to give me the basics of life, despite the limited resources we had. Those experiences shaped my understanding of hardships and taught me the importance of resilience and determination.

As I grew older, I realized that many other children and single mothers were facing the same struggles. The pain of seeing children go without the opportunities they deserve, and mothers working endlessly to provide without enough support, motivated me to act. I knew that I wanted to give back and create something that would make a real
difference for families like mine.

With this vision in mind, I founded an organization focused on supporting less privileged children and their mothers. The goal was simple but powerful: to create opportunities that my mother and I never had. I wanted to provide a space where children could access education, proper nutrition, and emotional support, while their mothers could
receive skills training and economic empowerment opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.

The foundation began with small steps—reaching out to local families, forming partnerships with other community organizations, and gathering support from friends and donors. We started offering basic services like tutoring for children, sensitization of single mothers and providing essentials like food and other groceries during the covid19 pandemic. Over time, the organization grew, becoming a haven of hope for many
families in similar circumstances.

By sensitizing/ empowering mothers to gain financial independence and helping children access quality education, the foundation has been able to uplift families and help them build a brighter future. This mission is deeply personal to me because I know how transformative a little help can be. Through this foundation, I am committed to ensuring that no child or mother has to face the hardships that my mother and I endured
without support.
